Here’s the reason why Zanjoe Marudo had this statement about his role in a new series
Kapamilya actor Zanjoe Marudo said that he is alive once again after he was named as the lead actor in the series The Broken Marriage Vow opposite Jodi Sta. Maria.
The said series that was adapted from BBC’S Doctor Foster and also had its South Korean version created a loud buzz in Philippine showbiz. Fans anticipated who will give life to the characters that made the viewers angry, cry, and feel thrilled.
Fortunately, Zanjoe got the male lead character who is a cheating husband and he is ecstatic about this stint. Based on the article in PUSH, the actor said that the offer to do this TV series came during the time when projects were not frequently coming in. That was the time when ABS-CBN was ordered to shut down and at the same time the industry was suffering from the pandemic restrictions.
“Hindi ko alam kung ano ang next move at kung ano pa ang puwedeng gawin. And then nakatanggap ako ng tawag na meron silang gagawing show. Parang nabuhayan ulit ako nung nabalitaan ko na gaganap ako bilang si David sa napakalaki at napakagandang kuwento,” Zanjoe Marudo said adding that it was indeed a big blessing for him.
He also said that it was the right timing and it came because he waited. The actor also shared that there was no hesitation when the role was offered to him. Admittedly, he was a bit surprised that it was offered to him. Zanjoe said that he has long been waiting for a good project that is something really huge.
For him, it was his opportunity to show that he deserves the chance to play the character of David. Then, the actor quipped, “Kasi ang dami na ring kasabayan ko na ayaw na rin magtrabaho so siguro malaking factor na rin yan (laughs) na mga nag-retire na silang lahat.”
Zanjoe Marudo also said that this project came to him at the right time because he already matured as an actor. He has been in the industry for 16 years now.
