Seasoned showbiz personalities Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, and Joey de Leon spoke about being a Kapuso for more than two decades.

Eat Bulaga, the longest-running noontime show in the Philippines has been airing on GMA-7 for 27 years now. On the other hand, the show has started airing more than 40 years ago already. Until now, it continues to provide laughter and entertainment to avid viewers.

The show was also able to give birth to various popular segments that has become part of the lives of many Filipinos. Through the show, many showbiz aspirants also found their place in the industry.

Just recently, based on the article in GMA Entertainment, Eat Bulaga renewed its contract with the Kapuso network. With this, Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, and Joey de Leon expressed how thankful they are to their home network for more than a decade now.

We would like to thank the GMA-7 for the 27 years. Tito, Vic, and Joey have been with GMA-7 more than 27 years pa, for Eat Bulaga 27 years. We will not be able to reach our 43rd year, if not for GMA-7,” Senator Tito said.

The actor-turned-politician added that they are thankful that the network helped them in helping other people. He said that throughout the years, the noontime show has also become a public service program. For Vic, the TVJ trio is certified GMA-7 babies. He also said that he is looking forward to the show’s third decade with the Kapuso network.

Known for how he plays with words, Joey shared his thoughts on this by using the his name and the names of Tito Sotto and Vic Sotto. “Were running on our 43rd year, 4 plus 3 equals 7 at sinabi ni Tito kanina na nasa 27 years na kami sa GMA. I-add up n’yo ‘yung mga letter sa Joey de Leon, Tito Sotto, at Vic Sotto, tignan natin kung ilan…27. Congratulations, GMA, and congratulations, Eat Bulaga!, at sa lahat ng dabarkads sa Pilipinas, mabuhay tayong lahat,” the Henyo Master said
