On the video, it can be seen that the people are cheering up the lineman. Before the linemen flip on the switch, they’re even starting a countdown. They were first warned not to yell since it would distract the linemen.

However, they couldn’t help but yell owing to their enthusiasm. People can be seen cheering, leaping, and clapping as the lineman finally reconnects the switch and restores power to the neighborhood.

Three weeks after Typhoon Odette wreaked havoc on Cebu, people may now look forward to the restoration of electricity in more regions of the province. Odette recently wreaked havoc in central and southern Cebu, wreaking havoc on infrastructure and agriculture in the process.

The Department of Agriculture said that the damage inflicted by Typhoon Odette (international name: Rai) to the vital agriculture industry had increased to P10.8 billion. Damage to electric cooperative facilities has also climbed to P2.6 billion, according to the National Electrification Administration.

In the provinces of Calabarzon, Mimaropa, Bicol, Western Visayas, Central Visayas, Eastern Visayas, Zamboanga Peninsula, Northern Mindanao, Davao, Soccsksargen, and Caraga, Odette impacted 356,486 farmers and fishermen. 239,656 metric tons of production were lost, while 399,531 hectares of agricultural land were devastated.
