Gwyneth Chua, Parents to Face Charges Over Quarantine Breach – CIDG

Multiple Charges to Be Filed Against Gwyneth Chua, Parents for Violating Quarantine Rules

The authorities will file multiple charges against Gwyneth Anne Chua or popularly known as “Poblacion Girl” and her parents over quarantine breach.

Gwyneth may face many charges for breaking the mandated quarantine for Filipinos arriving from overseas, according to CIDG director Police Maj. Gen Albert Ignatius Ferro. Gwyneth Paltrow’s name has been added to Ferro’s list for perhaps assisting the girl in evading the government’s mandated quarantine.

There are also hotel personnel who are likely to face litigation for their carelessness where Gwyneth slept. Gwyneth didn’t have to go through quarantine since she was so proud of her ‘connections.’

They also discovered that the girl’s father picked up his son at the Berjaya Hotel in Makati. While the inquiry into the case continues, Gwyneth is being held in an isolation unit in Metro Manila.

According to Ferro, the CIDG investigators were successful in gathering evidence thanks to the assistance of the facilities’ management. Furthermore, other concerned and responsible individuals came forward to assist in the inquiry, as well as the availability of CCTV video, which allowed us to confirm witness testimony and establish case facts.

They haven’t uncovered any indication that the girl attended the party with some of her other pals so far. On the other hand, Ferro believes that what happened to Gwyneth should serve as a warning to Filipinos considering breaking the law.

“This is proof that the procedures and policies set by the IATF, especially on quarantine and isolation are vital for securing the welfare and wellness of the people. And everyone must adhere to the established protocols,” Ferro said.
