Vidas allegedly received a reprimand from his neighbors for the noise his motorcyclists made during the New Year’s Eve celebration. This enraged him, and he is accused of shooting them down.

Cabus, one of the victims, received multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at a nearby hospital. Based on the report, his nephew Henry Cabus Jr. likewise earned bullet wounds in his arm.

According to the report, Vidal originally fled the area but eventually surrendered to authorities. He’s been charged with murder and attempted murder, says police.

Meanwhile, in another incident, a 17-year-old suspect was pinned in the shooting of one Jinaro Jake Ramirez in Barangay Rosario in Cervantes. Ramirez was brought to the hospital for treatment after the suspect surrendered at the Cervantes police station.

Two ammo magazines for a cal. 9mm pistol were discovered at the crime scene, but the gun itself was not. Elsa Guerrero, 50, was injured by a stray bullet in another incident in Ilocos Sur, this time in Barangay Paratong in Sinait town.
