Rookie Cop in Laguna Arrested after Harassing Minor Woman Due to Intoxication
Police authorities arrested a rookie cop in Laguna after allegedly harassing a minor woman inside a house due to intoxication from alcohol.
According to a Sta. Maria Municipal Police Station report, after a drinking session, the rookie police officer was reported for harassing an 18-year-old girl at their house. The police suspect supposedly surrendered after the victim filed a police report.

The victim informed investigators that the inexperienced cop stopped by their home for a drink. According to the victim’s story, she fell asleep when she felt dizzy and awoke when the police pushed him to have an intimate moment.
The woman went on to say that she tried to push the cops away, but that he threatened to murder her, based on the report of investigators. Meanwhile, General Dionardo Carlos, the Philippine National Police (PNP) chief, expresses his displeasure with the rookie cop for his alleged illegal act.
“This is a very unfortunate report. We are doing our best effort to search for the police officer involved. We will make sure that this will be a fair and speedy investigation,” the PNP chief said in his statement regarding the incident involving the cop.
He also stated that the PNP’s Internal Affairs Services (IAS) has begun an investigation into the case’s administrative aspects. He’s also pleading with the witnesses to help with the inquiry so that more light may be cast on the issue.
