Dingdong Dantes shared his working experience with John Arcilla
Kapuso Primetime King Dingdong Dantes revealed the “hardcore” actions that he did in the movie A Hard Day with internationally-acclaimed actor John Arcilla.
The said movie of Dingdong and John is one of the official entries in the Metro Manila Film Festival 2021. This is the first time that the two actors shared that same movie screen. They already worked together before in a series.
Dingdong has already done action scenes for movies and TV series in the past but based on the article in GMA Entertainment, this is the first time that he really did hardcore action.
“Apat na araw akong binabalibag ni Heneral sa mga dingding,” Dingdong Dantes said about John Arcilla who popularly referred to as Heneral Luna because he played the character of the Pinoy hero in a movie.
Dingdong shared that he already did bits and pieces of action scenes in the past but in A Hard Day, he did the action scenes from the first day of filming until they finished.
Aside from the hardcore action scenes, the Kapuso star was also overwhelmed by the fact that he worked with John Arcilla in the said movie. “Whenever he wears his character, talahang, kumbaga, kung hindi ka mapapa-action, mapapa-action ka talaga dahil sa husay talaga niya,” he said.
Because of this attitude of John when it comes to his character, Dingdong said that he was obliged to really work hard in order to make the action scenes realistic. The Kapuso actor stressed that it was very important that there is chemistry between the cast members to ensure that the scenes will look real and believable.
Dingdong Dantes revealed that the hardest scene that he did was the ending part of the movie. “Literal na hard execution talaga ‘yun dahil apat na araw naming ginawa ‘yon, so apat na araw akong binabalibag ni Heneral sa mga dingding at, grabe, sobrang intense talaga no’n kasi hindi ko malilimutan dahil apat na araw namin shinoot,” he said. The actor added that the continuity should be maintained like the blood spots.
