Animal Welfare Group Earns Praises Online After Organizing Christmas Party for Rescued Dogs
An animal welfare group in Zambales has organized and conducted a Christmas party for dogs during the holiday season.
The Facebook page “The Homeless Dog Shelter – Subic, Philippines” has shared the photos of a Christmas party for adorable dogs. The photos quickly circulate online and earned praises from the netizens.
In the photos, it can be seen that the fur babies were enjoying the party organized by the group. Several types of dishes have been served during the party and games have been prepared for the dogs.
The party has been held in Barangay Mangan‑Vaca, Subic, Zambales last December 24, 2021.
Jervy Castillo, owner of the non-profit organization called “The Homeless Dog Shelter” give a fair share of celebrating the holiday season to the rescued dogs. The shelter is currently taking care of 108 dogs and 38 cats.
“Some of them are new to our shelter and haven’t experienced a Merry Christmas yet since they were living in the streets, for that, we thank you,” the Homeless Dog Shelter wrote on their post.
Castillo has also expressed their gratitude towards a certain Bridgette Buyea for supporting the program. The organization is also looking for “Secret Santas” who will sponsor the fur babies in the first trimester of 2022.
The group is hoping to receive dog and cat food and cleaning supplies, which were the basic needs of the furry friends in the shelter.
