Megastar Sharon Cuneta distributed relief goods to typhoon Odette victims in Cebu with her husband vice presidential aspirant Kiko Pangilinan.
Several politicians have been visiting areas affected by the recent strong typhoon to extend necessary help. Many areas in the regions of Mindanao and Visayas faced the devastating effect of the strong typhoon. There were many houses that were destroyed and hundreds of lives were taken away.
In his recent visit to Cebu, one of the greatly affected areas, Sen. Kiko was joined by his wife. Based on the recent post of Kapamilya entertainment reporter MJ Felipe on Twitter, Sharon said in her speech in front of the Cebuanos that they should not give up.
“Huwag niyo pong kakalimutan, Maraming pagsubok pero mahal tayong lahat ng Panginoon, hindi njya tayo pababayaan. Manalig tayo!” the Megastar said. After speaking to the people, Sharon Cuneta posed for photo opportunity with her husband and the residents of the area they visited.
In another Twitter post of Felipe, he shared a video showing that the actress-singer was distributing relief goods to typhoon Odette victims and Sen. Kiko was assisting her. It can be seen that the residents were so thankful for the help that they received.
Meanwhile, Sharon Cuneta has been very supportive of the political career of her husband. When Senator Kiko Pangilinan was chosen to be the running mate of Vice President Leni Robredo, who is running for president now, the actress-singer knew that this would create an issue between her and the family of Senate President Tito Sotto who is also running for vice president. However, Sharon is optimistic that whatever conflict that had happened will eventually be healed over time.
