Bakeshop Owner Earned Praise After Giving 3 Pairs of Shoes to an MMDA Street Sweeper

A kind bakeshop owner earned praise online after he give 3 pairs of shoes to a Metro Manila Metropolitan Development Authority (MMDA) street sweeper.

A user called John Eric Enopia shared his encounter with a cyclist father on Facebook. Enopia shown his compassion for others by gifting a biker who apparently only buys shoes at the shoe shop next to them in Imus, Cavite.

He approached the cyclist’s father and explained that he was an MMDA street sweeper in search of shoes. It’s just that he’s the wrong size. Enopia, on the other hand, couldn’t help himself and asked the merchant to locate a size for any design for which he would pay.

The owner of the building he was renting approached him while he was shopping for shoes that would fit the MMDA street sweeper. He said the owner asked why he only got one when he could have gotten three.

“Bakit isa lang? Bigyan mo ng tatlo, ako magbabayad,” said the building owner named Sir Sherwin.

John owns ‘The Cooking Dad Bake & Brew,’ a bakery-coffee establishment that originally went viral in 2020 due to his compassion for a Lalamove rider who provided him free iced coffee and allowed him to eat at one of their tables. They are said to donate to ‘Save the Children Philippines’ in order to assist children who take online education.
