Two Filipinas represented the Philippines in the Miss Universe 2021 pageant, Beatrice Luigi Gomez as a candidate and Marian Rivera as one of the members of the selection committee.
This has already brought pride to many Pinoy pageant fans even before the competition has started. After the coronation and Beatrice has ended her journey in the pageant as one of the Top 5 finalists, the Cebuana beauty had this chance to have a moment with the Kapuso Primetime Queen.
Both Marian and Beatrice were wearing the beautiful gowns created by famous fashion designer Francis Libiran. Several Pinoys who watched the pageant in Israel took photos and videos of the two Filipinas while they were on the stage and talking to each other.
Based on the article in Inquirer Beatrice Luigi Gomez shared what she and Marian Rivera talked about at that time. The Miss Universe Philippines 2021 told the actress the reason why she kept on smiling during the preliminary competitions.
“I told her po na the reason behind during the preliminaries na hindi ko matanggal ‘yung ngiti ko is because nakikita ko siyang nagche-cheer. Kahit bawal sa kanila as part of the panel of judges na mag-cheer for their country, nagche-cheer pa rin siya lagi and she commends me,” Beatrice revealed.
Marian Rivera told the Pinay beauty queen that she is really proud of her placement in this year’s competition. The actress also commended the performance of Beatrice.
Meanwhile, Beatrice Luigi Gomez said that she is also happy and satisfied with her performance and this included her answer in the question and answer portion of the competition.
Although she failed to reach her aim to bring home the crown for the Philippines, Beatrice said that she did her best and there are just candidates who are destined to be crowned.
