Alessandra de Rossi aims to achieve this for her acting career
Award-winning actress Alessandra de Rossi shared her next acting goal after she was hailed as this year’s Film Academy of Movie Arts and Sciences (FAMAS) Best Actress for her movie Watch List.
Alessandra has proven her acting prowess through various films. Her performance in the aforementioned film also brought her the Gawad Urian Best Actress award this 2021.
Based on the article in Inquirer, Alex got her first FAMAS trophy in 2001. She was hailed best supporting actress for the movie Azucena back then. That was directed by Carlitos Siguion-Reyna.
Many movie fans can attest how she can carry out a role superbly, however, Alessandra de Rossi shared that she did not thought of getting an award from Watch List that was film by American director-producer Ben Rekhi.
“I was never like that. That’s not the reason I agree to be part of a project. I’ve actually programmed my brain not to expect anything. In fact, I would even pray that I lose to an actress who I feel really deserves an acting award,” Alex explained.
For her, it is enough for her that people know her capabilities when it comes to acting and that award is not necessary. This is the reason why she was shocked upon learning that she won and this is the news that made her laugh.
Following this new acting award from FAMAS, Alessandra de Rossi quipped that she is aiming for an Oscar award. “My next goal would be an Oscar award,” she said in jest.
She also shared that her acting award is dedicated to her mom. Alex revealed that her mother would always pray that she would won. Her supportive mother would tell her to stop feeling conscious and just believe that she deserves to be a best actress since she did the movie Munting Tinig. “She also said she would keep praying until I get both Urian and Oscar awards, so let’s see,” the actress shared.
The Munting Tinig that was released in 2002 was the representative of the Philippines to the Academy Awards under the Best International Feature Film category.
