“Inaasahan natin na magkakaroon ng paghihigpit sa supply dahil tumataas ang [presyo ng] patuka,” Reyes said.

UBRA warned the public that if the price of chicken feed continues to rise possible shortage in supply of eggs might be experienced in the Philippines. Currently, the price of medium-sized eggs was at P6.50 each

Reyes said that the supply of chicken is still sufficient as of this moment. The price of chicken ranges from P160 to P180 per kilogram but the price still depends on the size of the poultry product.

The Agriculture official reported that there is enough supply of lowland and highland vegetables for the holiday season despite the “andap” or frost affecting vegetables.
