Inday Garutay has these claims against Vice Ganda
Comedian Inday Garutay said in an interview on comedian-talent manager Ogie Diaz’s Showbiz Update vlog that It’s Showtime host Vice Ganda is “too clever by half”.
The recent issue that occurred between Inday and Vice started when the latter featured fellow comedians MC and Lassy in his vlog. They said that Inday is the “pinaka hindi nakakatawang” comedian. In a now-deleted post, Inday called out Vice and his “gargoyles” for making fun of him.
After that, Ogie interviewed Inday regarding this issue and he said that MC has no right to say that comment because they are not friends, even though there was a disclaimer in the vlog saying that it was just for fun.
Inday Garutay pointed out that Vice Ganda could not reason out that it was just “katuwaan” because the latter has already did this to award-winning broadcast journalist Jessica Soho. “Katuwaan din yung ginawa niya kay Jessica Soho. It’s all about katuwaan. Yun din ang katuwiran niya katuwaan,” he said.
Inday added that it is a known fact that Vice has influence and when it was shown on his YT channel that he is not a funny comedian, this would affect his future stints. “Kasi bread and butter ko yung pagpapatawa tapos sasabihin niyong hindi ako nakakatawa,” he stressed.
Inday also reasoned out that his “gargoyles” post was an understandable reaction that he had from the insult that he received. When asked if there was a past issue between him and Vice Ganda, Inday said there was. The latter claimed that the It’s Showtime host was the reason why he was terminated from his stint in a comedy bar.
Inday said that he has confirmed this but definitely Vice will deny this. For his message to the Unkabogable Star, Inday Garutay said, “Pagyamanin na lang natin ang craft natin lalo na (too) clever by half siya.” The expression “too clever by half” means “annoyingly proud of one’s intelligence or skill and in danger of overreaching oneself.” (Oxford Dictionary)
