Marian Rivera has this reaction to bashers of her Miss Universe stint
Kapuso Primetime Queen Marian Rivera recently confirmed that she is one of the judges in the Miss Universe 2021 pageant that will be held in Israel on December 12.
Days ago rumors surfaced about an award-winning actress who will be part of the most prestigious beauty competition for this year as a judge. Just recently, Marian shared an eye-catching post showcasing her beauty with crown and universe emoji in the caption.
She also used the hashtag “honored”. With this, the rumors were cemented as truth until Marian finally confirmed this. Many fans expressed happiness for her this as many were also excited to see her in Israel as one of the Miss Universe judges.
However, there were also those who are bashing her, especially those who are mocking her because of how she speaks in English, based on the article in PEP.
Marian Rivera said that she is simply ecstatic to have this opportunity and she feels really honored to be part of this year’s competition. When it comes to her bashers, especially those who don’t like the way she speaks English, the actress admitted that English is not her first language.
“At kinuha nila ako dahil sa aking body of work bilang isang Filipina. At ang masasabi ko lang, kilala niyo naman ako. Hindi naman ako mapagpanggap, di ba? So, ie-express ko ang sarili ko na naaayon sa nararamdaman ko sa araw na ‘yan,” Marian stressed.
The actress also said that although she has been avoiding doing projects for the safety of her kids since last year, she accepted this Miss Universe stint because it is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. Marian Rivera also shared that she has joined pageants when she was younger, however, she said, ”Pero parang hindi ko yata kayang lumaban pa ng Miss Universe.”
