Food Panda Delivery Rider Arrested While on His Way to Deliver Illegal Drugs

Police authorities arrested a Food Panda Delivery rider after he was caught with illegal drugs while he was on his way to deliver to his customer.

The suspect has been identified as Eduardo De Los Santos, a 48-year-old embalmer, according to anti-narcotics police. According to the report, the suspect had up to two grams of illegal substances known as “shabu” with a street value of $13,000.

According to PLt.Col John Guiagui, the suspect was about to deliver the illegal substances to one of his clients who was waiting for him at Oroqueta St. at the corner of Yuseco St. when he was spotted by patrolling police at around 12 a.m. The culprit was apprehended right away, and the prohibited material was recovered.

According to Guiagui, the suspect had previously surrendered to the police when the campaign against illegal drugs and Operation Tokhang began. However, he has now returned to using and selling illegal drugs.  The suspect will be charged with violating RA 9165 known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act of 2002 at the Manila Prosecutors Office.

The operation was conducted by P. Cpl Ronnel Yambao and Pat Ricardo Razon of Blumentritt PCP of MPD Station 3. When police performed a buy-bust in the subdivision in Barangay San Antonio, Paranaque, three relatives were nabbed inside their home.

Angel, a 49-year-old widow, Ton, a 26-year-old delivery rider, and Al, a 38-year-old welder, were arrested by the Paranaque City Police Department. Attempted to acquire one medium-sized sachet of shabu for P300,000 at the target. They recovered three plastic bags containing suspected shabu, each weighing 300 grams and valued at more than P2 million.
