Lanie Gatdula, Female Cyclist Dies After Hit by Truck
A female cyclist identified as Lanie Gatdula has passed away after she has been hit by a truck in Las Piñas City.
Road accident has been one of the most common traffic problems in the Philippines. It happens everyday, which causes inconvenience, traffic congestion and even injuries to involved individuals.
The Philippine government advised the drivers and pedestrians to be more careful along the road to avoid such incidents. However, accidents still happen due to reckless and irresponsible motorists.
Last November 21, Lanie Gatdula has passed away after she was accidentally hit by a truck while riding her bicycle along Pamplona Uno, Las Piñas City. She is traveling on her way when the incident happened.
The CCTV footage in the area caught the truck that accidentally hits Lanie. The truck driver might not noticed the lady victim and rolled over the female cyclist’s body. The culprit get away without even checking the victim’s condition.
According to the police, they will have a hard time to locate and identify the truck driver because the camera failed to capture the vehicle’s plate number. Gatdula has been declared dead-on-the-spot.
Gatdula’s family narrated that the 23-year-old lady is set to deliver her products to a customer but she never returned home after the incident. The victim’s husband and two children have been left grieving.
The victim’s family is currently grieving and seeking justice regarding the incident. They also asked the public to immediately report any clue regarding the culprit’s location or identity.
