How was Kylie Padilla growing up?
Kapuso actress Kylie Padilla shared a few details of her life as a child that are indeed uniquely different from the usual childhood of many little girls.
In a recent vlog that Kylie released on her YouTube channel, she interviewed her dad action star Robin Padilla, who is now running for Senator for the 2022 elections. Aside from the “never been asked questions” that Kylie asked her father, they also talked about her childhood.
Unlike many little girls who were playing with dolls and all the girly stuff, Kylie Padilla used to have her sword training. There was also a time when Robin sent his kids to Thailand for their martial arts training.
The Kapuso star said that she did not mind having that different childhood experience compared to other girls. It was not an issue for her that her father brought them up that way.
“‘Pag binabalikan ko po ‘yun, parang hindi nga siya normal. Pero para sa ‘kin kasi parang normal lang eh. I stopped school tapos fighters training. Iba pala talaga,” she said.
Meanwhile, Robin shared the proudest moment that he had as a father. He said that it was when Kylie became part of his series Joaquin Bordado. The actress played the character of Erenea.
“[Ang] taas ng rating noon ah. Dahil sa ‘yo! Ikaw ang [inaabangan] doon. Hindi nga! Hanggang ngayon ‘pag pinag-uusapan ‘yun sa channel 7, si Erenea pa rin,” the action star said. For him, that was his happiest and proudest father moment for Kylie.
Robin then shared the reason why he felt proud. “Kasi creation kita kaya ako proud. Kaya kong mag-create ng action star. Nakagawa ako, hindi fake. [Ang] daming action star ngayon pekenese. Ikaw totoo. Totoong nanggugulpi, totoong tumatambling, totoong sumasabit. Lahat totoo. Proud ako doon,” the seasoned actor said.
In the said vlog, the father and daughter tandem also talked about various aspects of their lives like being parents.
