Manny Pacquiao shared his past experience

Senator Manny Pacquiao revealed in a recent interview that when he was young he used drugs because he was still naïve back then.

The issue of illegal drugs has become a recent topic in the political arena. This gained popularity after President Rodrigo Duterte stated a “blind item” about a presidential aspirant who is allegedly doing illegal drugs.

Speculations surfaced that the Chief Executive, who is running for Senator in the 2022 elections, was alluding to presidential aspirant Bongbong Marcos, the running mate of presidential daughter Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte.

However, along with the submission of BBM of his drug test result to the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), he said in a statement that he does not think that the president was referring to him.

The camp of Manny Pacquiao also released his recent drug test result which was taken before his boxing fight this year. On the other hand, based on the report from The Manila Times, during an interview on November 11 by the AFP, the boxer-turned-politician admitted that he was “naïve” when he took narcotics when he was young.

“Before, I’m naive; that’s why I use drugs… I don’t know the law,” Pacquiao said. He added that people now know that the law is prohibiting the use of illegal drugs.

The top spot in the said survey was taken by former Senator Bongbong Marcos with 47 percent while Vice President Leni Robredo got 18 percent and she landed on the number 2 spot.
