Alert Level System to Cover Entire PH Effective November 22, According to DILG

A DILG Executive said that COVID-19 alert level system will be implemented throughout the entire Philippines staring November 22.

On Saturday (November 20, 2021), a top official from the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) announced that the entire Philippines will adopt the alert level system starting next Monday.

DILG Undersecretary Epimaco Densing III said the country is now ready to adopt the COVID-19 alert level system, which was initially imposed in the National Capital Region, Regions 3, 4A, 6, 7, 10 and 11.

“Simula sa Lunes, buong bansa naka-alert level system,” Densing said.

The announcement came after President Duteret approved the nationwide implementation of the alert level system based on Under Executive Order 151. It aims to determine the restrictions amid the health crisis.

The new alert level system will be gradually imposed in the following areas:

Phase 2

  • Region 2,
  • Region 8
  • Region 12

Phase 3

  • Region 2
  • Region 5
  • Region 9

Phase 4

  • Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR)
  • Region 4B
  • Region 13
  • Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM)

The alert level systems includes the entire cities or municipalities, which will control the spread of infections based on guidelines issued by IATF.

The Department of Health (DOH) will be the one to assign alert level classification from one to five depending on COVID-19 cases in each city or municipality.

Densing also said that granular lockdowns will replaced the community quarantine COVID-19 response.
