Bureau of Immigration Arrests Call Center COO Over Crypto Investment Fraud

The chief operations officer of a call center company in Metro Manila has been arrested over crypto investment fraud.

An Israeli national identified as Levy Kfir who works as a chief operations officer of a call center company has been arrested by the Bureau of Immigration Fugitive Search Unit at a restaurant in Pasay City.

The authorities quickly entered the establishment after the foreign national arrived in the restaurant. A warrant of arrest from Europe and INTERPOL notice have been issued against the suspect.

Crypto Investment Fraud

The police authorities arrested Kfir for his involvement at a crypto investment fraud, which victimized over 200 German nationals.  BI Fugitive Search Unit chief Rendel Sy reported that the suspect’s company has earned over P400 million from the scheme.

“Nagkaroon siya ng maraming biktima sa Germany, ang kanyang kumpanya kumite na ng almost P400 million,” Sy said.

The suspect refused to give a statement regarding the incident. The agency has already served a warrant of deportation against the foreigner.

Crypto Investment Fraud

Ito ay kontribusyon din natin hindi lang sa ating local na kapulisan kundi sa ibang bansa upang masugpo ang ganitong klase ng trans-national crime,” Sy added.
