Modus of Man Selling Fake Vax Card to Unvaccinated Individuals Exposed by Concerned Citizen
Several residents have filed a complaint against a man claiming to be a doctor for selling fake COVID-19 vaccination card to unvaccinated individuals.
The authorities discovered that a certain man is selling fake COVID -19 vaccination card in Caloocan City for P2, 500. The suspect is selling fake cards to unvaccinated people.
A complainant identified as alias “Delfin” has exposed the modus of the suspect. Delfin is supposed to be vaccinated together with his two relatives last August 2021 but his two kins refused to take the vaccine after some time.
Delfin narrated that his two relatives convinced him not to take the vaccine and just purchase a vaccination card. His relatives bought the fake vaccination card for P2, 500 from their friend who claimed to be a “doctor”.
“Hinikayat po nila ko ‘wag magpabakuna, pero tumuloy po ako sa pagbabakuna. Nagulat na lang po ako na meron na silang card,” the complainant said.
The fake card and the real vaccination card looks the same and no major differences can be spotted. The details about the vaccination program and name of nurse who administer the vaccine looks real.
“Nakita po namin na yung isang staff namin na nakalagay na pangalan, nurse po kasi yung isa na-forged po yung kaniyang pirma, Hindi siya naka-assign noong araw na ‘yun doon,” Caloocan City Health Officer Dr. Evelyn Cuevas said.
The health official also discovered that the cellphone number in the fake vaccine card cannot be contact. The authorities concluded that the suspect copied the details from the original one.
The Caloocan City and the Department of Health are still investigating the incident.
