According to Tucscano, the suspects’ method of operation began in 2014. He further claimed that the gang has gone by four different names and that they are reportedly part of a large network.

On the other side, the suspects have disputed the charges. Meanwhile, authorities in Davao City apprehended a construction worker who pretended to be a member of the AFP.

The man was riding his motorcycle while clad in military camouflage, according to the complaint. When officers stopped him to inspect his driver’s license, he didn’t have one. Instead, he is accused of impersonating a soldier and presenting a counterfeit AFP ID.

The officers who questioned him, however, discovered that the ID he was holding did not bear the AFP insignia. As a result, they were able to confirm that the suspect was not a military member but rather a construction worker.
