Sara Duterte Called “Sara All” Caravan “Unwise”, Appeals to Organizers to Cancel the Event

Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio appeals to all the organizers to cancel the “Sara All” caravan from Cotabato going to Manila.

Sara took to Facebook to ask the organizers of Sara All Philippines 2022 not to go ahead with the caravan. Mayor Sara branded the caravan’s behavior “unwise” in the middle of the pandemic in a Facebook post titled “An Appeal to Friends.”

She urged them to direct their donations only to projects that are both productive and beneficial to society. She merely requested the organizers and supporters to donate the funds to feed the hungry and impoverished.

“You can use your money to buy food to feed the hungry and the poor and to conduct other activities that benefit those who have less in life and the underprivileged,” the Davao City Mayor said.

“Let us not unnecessarily contribute to global warming. Let us save on fuel,” she added.

According to the caravan’s schedule, the mayor’s supporters would leave Cotabato City on November 4; Bukidnon on November 5; and Cagayan de Oro City on November 6. On November 13, her supporters are anticipated to converge in Manila, with a “Big Day” celebration planned for November 15, the deadline for filing a substitution with the Comelec.

Mayor Sara thanked her supporters but reiterated that she will not run for the presidency. On October 2, Mayor Sara filed her certificate of candidacy for re-election as mayor of Davao City.

“Your overwhelming support and trust in me are not being unnoticed. They are deeply appreciated. But then again, the caravan is not necessary because a decision was already made public as early as September 10 not to run for President,” she reiterated.
