Couple Sails On Large Cooking Pot As Flood Hits City On Wedding Day

COOKING POT WEDDING – An Indian couple was set to be wed, however, a flood suddenly hit their city.

Obviously, the logical thing to do here is to call off the wedding. However, these love birds told themselves that a little flood won’t get in the way of their love.

With no means of traditional transportation, the couple thought of a more unique way to get to the wedding venue – a large cooking pot. India, much like many countries in Asia is known for its amazing cuisine.

As such, you’d often see families have large cooking pots lying around. The couple thought this would be the perfect way to safely get to the wedding as dry as possible.

According to an article from Aljazeera, the couple was from Kerala, India. Furthermore, they borrowed a large pot from a local temple and hired two men to push their love boat all the way to their venue.

Even though the wedding venue was partially flooded, the couple didn’t turn back as they were determined to tie the knot. Luckily, they managed to go through with the small ceremony.

As per the report, both were health workers who tirelessly worked throughout the pandemic. “It has turned into a wedding which we never imagined“, said the bride during an interview with local news outlets.

Recently, heavy rains poured down on the city of Kerala and continued to do so for the past four days. In lieu of this, heavy flooding hit the city.
