Drama superstar Judy Ann Santos recalled how her life was when she was a child star and now she has evolved into the “Queen of Pinoy Soap Opera.”
Judy Ann or Juday is one of the celebrities in the Philippine entertainment industry who started their career at an early age. She was among the child stars in the 90s who captured the hearts of many viewers due to her innate acting abilities.
Taping meant that she could have playtime with her fellow child stars, as well as with older co-stars and even the production staff. This is aside from the fact that she liked the food.
Based on the article in Manila Bulletin, during the recent TV show of Senator Joel Villanueva titled AksyonTime on A2Z Channel 11, Judy Ann Santos said that the taping locations when she was young were like playgrounds for her.
“I was never close with my dad. I never had the chance to see him growing up. So, I look forward to the day na may taping kasi yung mga cameramen, crew lahat ng staff and engineers, sobrang close ako. Sa kanila ako nakakakuha ng kalinga at saka may mga bata rin akong kasama sa set,” the drama superstar said.
Juday added that just like other children, she was just looking for something that would make her happy and since she enjoyed acting, plus the fact that she was earning as well, it became easy for her.
Because she loves and enjoys what she was doing, before she knew it, she was already establishing her name in the industry as one of the premiere actresses. Later on, Judy Anne Santos explored more challenging projects that even brought out her star quality. As she gets older, she also opted to choose acting pieces with substance.
“Para sa akin kung hindi ko gusto yung project hindi sya tatawid onscreen. Kasi andun ako sa paniniwala na kung susuportahan ako ng mga tao kung mahal talaga nila ako, susuportahan nila kung ano man ang proyektong ilabas ko,” Juday said.
