Karen Davila replaced Noli de Castro in TV Patrol but this thing happened
Broadcaster Karen Davila replaced veteran news anchor Noli de Castro in the ABS-CBN’s primetime news program TV Patrol as the latter announced his senatorial candidacy.
De Castro filed his certificate of candidacy on October 8 but on October 13, he released a statement saying that he is backing out of his senatorial bid under presidential candidate Manila Mayor Isko Moreno of the Aksyon Demokratiko party.
The former Vice President said that he decided to withdraw because he thinks that he could serve the people more by doing his profession.
Following this announcement from Noli de Castro, Karen Davila also trended on Twitter. It is because netizens on the micro-blogging site have various reactions to what could happen next to Davila now that De Castro withdrew his candidacy.
There were those who said that they prefer to see Davila in the prime-time news program. Some netizens also speculated about the real reason why De Castro backed out while some urged the management of the Kapamilya network’s news and current affairs department to just put him in another program.
