Police Authorities Arrest Alleged Notorious Bike Theft in Tondo, Manila

The police authorities arrested an alleged notorious bike theft in Tondo, Manila after the series of robbery in the area.

Last Sunday (October 10, 2021), the police officers were able to arrest the 28-year-old thief responsible for stealing bicycles in Tondo, Manila. The CCTV footage in Barangay 209 caught the culprit’s action.

The barangay officials in the area immediately conduct an operation to arrest the notorious theft after numerous victims filed complaints against the culprit. Many residents have already lost their bikes.

“Nakita siya sa CCTV ng barangay tanod, tapos pinahuli,” barangay ex-o identified as Jonjon Macaspac said.

According to the barangay, the suspect is selling the stolen bicycles to earn instant money especially bike is one of the major modes of transportation during this coronavirus pandemic. The CCTV footage in Barangay 159 has also caught the thief riding a bicycle he doesn’t own.

Manila Police District Maj. Hans Jose revealed that the suspect had a record at the police station 7. The cop reported that the thief has been accused of theft charges in the past. At least six complainants have went to the barangay and police station to file charges against the culprit.

“Ni-review natin ‘yong records ng Police Station 7. We found out mayroon po siyang offense charge dati, same case na theft,” Jose said.

The notorious bike theft would face an additional count for theft charges.
