Ariella Arida shared her thoughts on Miss Universe Philippines candidates
Miss Universe Philippines 2013 Ariella Arida said that the next Miss Universe Philippines must be ready to compete in the international pageant stage.
Amid the pandemic, several national pageants have already adjusted the dates of their coronation nights. The world of pageantry is one of the industries that were greatly affected by the current situation in the Philippines and in the whole world.
Ariella shared that she understands the hardship that the candidates of Miss Universe Philippines were experiencing. “Now, Miss Universe naman. If I were one of the girls, sana huwag sila mag-give up and ituloy lang nila ang momentum, although alam ko talagang mahirap. Iba kasi ‘yung dire-diretso ka sa journey mo,” she said.
Ariella Arida also stressed that if the international pageant will push through this December, she hopes that the MUP candidate that will win this year is ready to compete, based on the article in The Philippine Star.
“My take if tuloy ang Miss Universe this December, hopefully they will send someone ready to compete because less than three months preparation na lang,” the former beauty queen said.
Last year, she was one of the judges in which Ilongga beauty queen Rabiya Mateo won. Ariella also shared her message to two of the most popular candidates this year, Kisses Delavin and Maureen Wroblewitz.
She said that the two celebrities who are now trying their luck in their first national pageant should not succumb to the pressure as they are two of the heavy favorites.
“Take it constructively. Gawin nilang more motivation and inspiration. To all the girls, I hope they will not easily give up. Sana dire-diretso pa rin ang motivation at exercise nila, work out nila, training nila. For sure, matutuloy naman ang pageant,” Ariella Arida said.
Previously, she also shared her top 3 bets in this year’s competition that will be held on September 30, in Bohol.
