Lea Salonga Stars In HBO Max Reboot Of Pretty Little Liars
LEA SALONGA – After more than 4 years, Pretty Little Liars is getting a reboot that stars Lea Salonga, Sharon Leal, and more.
The broadway icon made the announcement on her official Instagram page. “The moms have descended upon the town of Millwood! And we have secrets and lies of our own (can’t let the children have all the fun)“, she said.
Still, according to an article from Deadline, the reboot would take its inspiration from Sara Shepard’s best-selling books. The plot starts off with an introduction of a tragic event that happened 20 years ago.
Now, in the present, a group of teens, the new “Little Liars” are tormented by a figure of the past – an assailant who’s ensuring the sins of their parents are paid for in full.
In the Reboot, Salonga plays Elodie, Minnie’s (Pyles) mom. Her character is said to be overbearing but hard working. Furthermore, she works overtime to keep her daughter safe following a traumatic event when Minnie was a little girl.
Alongside the broadway star is Leal’s character Sidney, Tabby’s mother. She’s a single parent working in real estate to provide for her daughter and Imogen, another girl in town.
