Star For All Season Vilma Santos revealed that this is what happened when she did a “sampalan” scene with A-list actor John Lloyd Cruz.
In 2009, Vilma and John Lloyd did a movie titled In My Life together with the veteran actress’s son Luis Manzano. Previously, the Star For All Season shared that she saw how serious John Lloyd is when it comes to his craft. She also pointed out that the A-list actor really knows what he wants to do.
Now that Vilma Santos has her own YouTube channel, for her first vlog, she had a question-and-answer session with Luis Manzano. One of the questions that were asked to her was about the scene in In My Life in which the character of John Lloyd Cruz slapped her character.
The veteran actress revealed that the A-list actor was so apprehensive to do the scene. They started shooting for the scene around 2 or 3 o’clock in the morning. Their director Olive ‘Inang’ Lamasan was kept on telling John Lloyd to do the slap scene.
“Ayaw niya talaga. Alam mo, bago nagawa ni Lloydie, alas singko na ng umaga. Ayaw niya ako talagang sampalin,” the veteran actress shared.
On the other hand, once again, Vilma Santos expressed her admiration to John Lloyd Cruz. She said that the actor’s acting really comes from the heart.
Ate Vi also shared that even Lloydie took his so-called showbiz break, he did not change. “Kasi, hanggang nu’ng nag-hibernate siya, anak, may contact pa rin siya, pinadalhan pa niya ako ng pagkain. Lloydie, thank you,” the actress-politician said.
