PAGASA Releases Latest Weather Update for Tuesday (September 21)
LATEST WEATHER UPDATE – The state weather bureau PAGASA reported that a low-pressure area and the intertropical convergence zone would bring cloudy to rainy weather conditions over some parts of the Philippines.
On Tuesday (September 21, 2021), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. The low-pressure area and the intertropical convergence zone would continue to affect the country’s weather condition.
PAGASA reported that the low-pressure area has been spotted over the coastal waters of Dumaran, Palawan embedded along the intertropical convergence zone. The two weather disturbances would affect Southern Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.
The LPA and ITCZ would bring cloudy weather condition with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms over Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon, Western Visayas, Palawan including Kalayaan Islands and Occidental Mindoro.
Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms are expected over Bicol Region, Northern Samar, and the rest of Visayas due to the ITCZ and localized thunderstorms.
Metro Manila and the rest of the country would also experience similar weather condition. Possible flash floods or landslides are also expected during severe thunderstorms.
Meanwhile, the coastal water condition over Palawan, rest of Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao would be slight to moderate, according to the weather bureau.
“Isang low pressure area ang nabuo dito po sa bahagi ng Sulu Sea, kanilang alas tres ng umaga umaga ito ay nasa coastal waters ng Dumaran, Palawan,” Pagasa weather specialist Ariel Rojas said.
