Enrile commiserated with Gonzaga as she valiantly faced down detractors for featuring an interview with former Senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. on her vlog. A part of the interview recalled the day his father declared Martial Law on September 21, 1972.

“Poor Toni Gonzaga. She is a victim of prejudiced minds -people who took undeserved credit and advantage for the so-called people power revolution of 1986,” Enrile wrote, based on the article of Manila Bulletin.

“They were totally ignorant of the real facts. They act on the basis of what they heard or imagined,” he added.

Enrile was known to have plotted the martial law regime with Marcos to “rescue the republic” from the communist rule as the then-secretary of national defense. However, 14 years later, he broke with Marcos to assist organize the 1986 People Power Revolution, which brought the martial law president’s administration to an end.

Gonzaga’s vlog “The Greatest Lesson Bongbong Marcos Learned from His Father,” received widespread criticism, with many accusing her of assisting the young Marcos’ upcoming political attempt in the 2022 elections. Gonzaga, on the other hand, appeared to have turned the tide against detractors, particularly after she issued a rebuttal that was well-received by both fans and non-fans. Gonzaga claims she doesn’t need to justify herself to anyone.
