Angel Locsin to Fire DOH Secretary Francisco Duque if She’s the President of Philippines
Actress-philanthropist Angel Locsin said she will definitely fire Health Secretary Francisco Duque III if she is now the president of the Philippines.
The Kapamilya actress has stated unequivocally that Duque should quit now. According to Angel, the secretary should resign not because he believes he is guilty of the same crimes as those accused of corruption, but because it is the right thing to do for the Filipino people.

Angel was questioned if, if she were President Rodrigo Duterte, he would fire the Secretary of the Department of Health because of the looming pandemic threat. The actress stated that if she were to be objective, she would remove him from his position.
“Kung magiging objective lang tayo rito, walang kung ano man ‘yung nararamdaman ko, nararamdaman niyo, tanggalin niyo. Kung ano lang ‘yung kailangan natin I would say kung ako ‘yung presidente ng Pilipinas, yes I will fire Secretary Duque,” said Angel.
Angel reiterated that she would terminate Duque not because she thought he was crooked, but because he fails to simply explain to the individuals who came here what tax they are paying. Angel went on to say that what people need right now is peace of mind, which the government should provide.
“So, para gawin ‘yun, kakain ng napakaraming oras para ma-explain ‘yung sarili niya. Sino ngayon ang tututok sa pandemic response na kailangan din nating tutukan. Because ito rin ‘yung number one kalaban natin, di ba?” statement by the so -called real life Darna of the Philippines.
She also wants to give Duque the opportunity to clear his name of all the charges leveled against him. Give ‘it’ time to answer to pacify people and allow him to show the appropriate evidence, facts to clear his name, said Angel.
Earlier, Angel sent a message to all the brave medical frontliners in the country as COVID-19 cases continue to rise. He sympathizes with healthcare workers who have been away from their families for a long time, she said.
