JM de Guzman shared something about his faith after a difficult time in his life

Init Sa Magdamag actor JM de Guzman shared the story behind his prayer that says “Thank you. I’m sorry. Not today.”

JM is one of those showbiz personalities who has an inspiring story about overcoming an obstacle that almost destroyed his life and his career. There was a point in his life when he was at his lowest. During that time, he almost ignored the medical help that he should have.

Fortunately, he came to a realization that he wouldn’t want to be that person he used to be. Based on the article Inquirer, the actor shared that after entering a rehab facility twice, he admitted in 2020 that he had panic attacks.

Amid this thing happening to his mental state, JM de Guzman cling on to his faith. He shared his prayer would always be “Thank you. I’m sorry. Not today.”

When asked the meaning of the third sentence, the actor explained that it is because she already accepted the fact that eventually, he will leave this world but he is praying “not yet”.

I still have dreams that I want to accomplish, a family that I want to build, and grandkids that I want to meet. I say thank you to Him for every day He gives me. I also say sorry for having sinned, but I always add, ‘huwag muna ngayon,” the actor explained.

JM de Guzman also shared that he will be asked about his dark past during interviews and he does not mind talking about it. He said that it is part of healing and that is to share with other people what he has been through. “I guess if I encounter a question that I think I don’t really have to answer, then I’ll simply pass,” he added.
