Heart Evangelista talked about the relationship that her husband has now with her parents
Kapuso star Heart Evangelista shared how her husband Sorsogon Governor Chiz Escudero reconciled with her parents Reynaldo and Cecilia Ongpauco.
To recall, there was a point when Heart’s parents were not in favor of his relationship with Chiz. However, the couple eventually was able to patch things up with the parents of the actress.
During a recent interview on Karen Davila’s YouTube channel, Heart Evangelista shared how her husband was able to bridge the gap between him and his wife’s family.
The actress said that she was always confident that her father and her husband well get along because they have the same interests. “Mahilig kami sa mga lumang bagay, mahilig kami sa kahoy, we have so many things in common,” the Governor shared.
Chiz told his wife to reconcile with her parents because they are her parents and that she might regret not bridging the gap. He shared that the reconciliation started when Heart’s parents visited and so he had to leave the house.
“And then she calls me up and says, ‘Halika, punta ka rito.’ Sabi ko, ‘Wala na sila?’ ‘Hindi, andito pa. Okay na.’ Sabi ko, ‘On one condition… walang sorry, hindi pag-uusapan ‘yon, parang wala lang nangyari, like the first time we met and then we met again. And that’s where it began,” the husband of Heart Evangelista said.
Now, Chiz and Heart’s dad Reynaldo are very close to each other. The latter is even staying in Sorsogon now. The actress also shared that her father would even get emotional every time he would recall not patching things up with Chiz sooner.
The father of the actress would often say that he wished the reconciliation happened much earlier so that he will still spend more time with Chiz.
