The Filipino migrant worker identified as Mark Suela who is working as a security officer in Afghanistan has expressed his sadness after leaving his beloved pet ‘Tiny’, a bomb-sniffing dog in Kabul.
Suela has been working with ‘Tiny’ for a whole year protecting each other while roaming around to inspect their area of jurisdiction. Mark has already loved the sniffing dog and treat it as his best friend.
Unfortunately, the two got separated after the Taliban conquered the Afghanistan and has been placed under Alert Level 4. Mark and other OFWs left Kabul but he has to leave the dog with his fellow workers.
However, the dog seems want to go with him after he was repatriated due to the escalating tension in Afghanistan. Mark’s heart has been broken after bidding farewell to his pet. He is only allowed to bring one bag and passport.
Currently, Mark is quarantined in the United Kingdom while waiting for his flight back to the Philippines. He is hoping that his colleagues would take care of tiny amid the ongoing war in Afghanistan.
