The famous left hand of the 42-year-old boxer hurt Yordenis for the first time in the tenth round but the younger boxer nailed him back. Pacman ended the fight with damage around both eyes. Yordenis secured a victory via unanimous decision with the judges scoring the fight 115-113, 116-112, 116-112.

After their intense fight, Manny Pacquiao admitted that he had a hard time adjusting to Yordenis Ugas’ body style in the ring. He blamed the lack of time to prepare for their bout as the reason for his loss. He also said that his legs felt tight which led him not to move much.

“I had to make an adjustment for [only] a few days. It’s good but that’s boxing…I know I was having a hard time in the ring making adjustments about his style. That was a problem for me because I didn’t make an adjustment right away and my legs were tight. It was hard to move.”

“I’m sorry we lost tonight, I did my best,” he added.
