Robi Domingo is encouraging the younger generation to register and vote
Kapamilya host Robi Domingo shares the reason why he is passionate about encouraging the youth to register and vote.
Aside from being in the showbiz industry, Robi has certain causes that he is working on. One of them is encouraging the Filipino youth to choose the next public servants who should serve the country, based on the article in PUSH.
Now that the deadline for registration for the next election is near, he is more intense in encouraging the younger generation to be responsible. “I’m very passionate about ngayon lalo na we got 45 days until the registration ends is that certain ability to vote,” the TV host said.
Robi Domingo also corrected the misconception of many people that their single vote does not matter. He stressed that even if it is just one vote, still it can make a change.
“Palaging tinatanong sa akin or sentiment is, ‘Isa lang naman ako eh, ano ba ang effect nito?’ But I just want to encourage everyone na let’s have a change of mindset and challenge the system. Instead of saying ‘Isa lang ako,’ say, ‘Isa pa ako,’” he said.
The TV host also stressed that voting is not just the right of an individual but also it is a responsibility and this involves the story of everyone in the country and it will be part of history.
“And it will have this ripple effect in the stories of the next generations to come. So we have that certain ability to put accountable people in power who have informed decisions and sustainable plans for the country. So if you’re just wondering bakit kailangan gawin ito, I just invite you to really open your eyes, open your ears and see and listen to what’s happening right now,” he added.
Robi Domingo also said that there is nothing wrong when showbiz personalities would air their sentiments regarding the situation in the government. He said that the bottom line in this is that no matter the status or profession of a person, the fact will remain that he or she is still a citizen of this country.
