On Monday, August 16, ABS-CBN broadcast journalist and vlogger Karen Davila made headlines after a short clip of her interview with singer Lyca Garainod went viral on social media. In the said video, Davila was asking Garainod about her birthday.
The multi-awarded journalist is shocked to find out that she shares the same birthday with Garainod which is November 21, which prompted both to give a quite humorous reaction. Davila’s funny reaction caught Garainod off guard in the interview.
Both reactions of Lyca Garainod and Karen Davila became the subjects of memes on all social media platforms. They even topped the trending topics on Twitter.
Kapamilya host Vice Ganda didn’t miss the opportunity to celebrate the new meme. He took to his Twitter account to react to Davila’s viral reaction. He wrote, “Eksaherada! Pinasaya mo ‘ko, @iamkarendavila.”
The Phenomenal star also repeatedly spoofed the news anchor’s expression exclaiming “Oh my God! to his co-host Kim Chiu.
