PAGASA Says LPA to Affect PH Weather Condition
The state weather bureau PAGASA reported that the low-pressure area cloudy to rainy conditions overs parts of Luzon while the rest of country would have fair aa weather condition.
On Monday (August 16, 2021), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. The low-pressure area would continue to affect the country’s weather condition.
PAGASA said that the low-pressure area has been last spotted at 56 km northwest of Baguio City, Benguet. The weather disturbance is not expected to develop into a tropical depression.
“Ang nasabing low pressure area ay nagdadala pa rin ng mga pag-ulan sa ilang bahagi ng hilagang Luzon at ang low pressure na ito ay mababa naman ang tsansa na maging isang ganap na bagyo,” Mendoza said.
The LPA would bring cloudy weather conditions with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms over the provinces of Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, La Union, Pangasinan, Abra, Apayao, Kalinga, Benguet, Mountain Province, Ifugao, Batanes and Babuyan Islands.
The localized thunderstorms would bring bartly cloudy to cloudy conditios with isolated rainshowers over mainland Cagayan, Isabela, Nueva Vizcaya, Quirino, and Aurora. The eastern sections of Visayas and Mindanao would be affected by the easterlies.
Metro Manila and the rest of the country would also experience similar weather conditions due to the easterlies. Possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.
Meanwhile, the coastal water conditions over the entire archipelago would be slight to moderate, according to the weather agency.
