“The Voice Kids” champion Lyca Gairanod sells house she won and this is her reason why.
LYCA GAIRANOD – Famous singer and now vlogger, Lyca Gairano shared the reason behind the selling of the house she won in “The Voice Kids”.
The first-ever grand champion of the “The Voice Kids” Philippines is Lyca Gairanod and along with her in the Top 4 are Darren Espanto, Juan Karlos Labajo, and Darlene Vibares. After winning the singing competition, outstanding prizes have been given to her which included a huge cash prize, a trust fund, a home appliance showcase, a brand new house and lot, and many more.
However, many years after winning, the young singer who is now 16 years old, shared that she has already sold the house she won from the competition which was located in General Trias, Cavite. In an interview with Karen Davila, she shared that the main reason is her grandmother who never liked living in such type of location.
This made her decide to let go of the house and buy a smaller one near where her grandmother lives. She added that it’s also her personal preference to live a simpler life in Tanza, Cavite. She chases the noise of her old place and she herself is also not used to living in a quiet village.
She said, “Parang gusto ko lang po talaga ‘yung ganitong life, parang masaya po. Parang ayoko po ng tahimik, ‘yung wala akong naririnig na ingay.”
The house she had let go of also holds great value to her and a lot of memories have been made there only that her grandmother matters more to her. It just so happens that her Lola never preferred living in a quiet place. Meanwhile, aside from singing, Lyca is also now an active vlogger and her channel has already amassed over a million subscribers.
