Young Boy Starts Online Seller to Raise Fund to Buy Smartphone for His Online Studies
A young boy becomes an online seller just to earn money to buy a smartphone so he won’t miss his online class.
A Facebook user named Cek Ammey Abu Bakar has shared the post of Umar Al-Khattab, an online seller on Shopee so he could buy a new phone for his online studies. The post garnered various reactions from the online community.
Cek Ammey, one of the kid’s customer initially thought that Al-Khattab is a scammer after he received the LED ring light that he ordered in the wrong size. Abu Bakar even asked Shopee regarding the wrong sized light he received.
The shopping app got shocked after learning that the seller was just an 11-year-old boy. The kid immediately apologized to the customer and explained that he was still learning the business despite his young age.
The customer wrote about Umar’s business after learning it, which immediately garnered various reactions from the social media users. The kid has already received over 300 orders during the past nine days since he become a seller.
Umar is the fourth child out of five siblings and becomes a keen learner a few weeks after he became a seller. He learned how to talk and deal with customers. He also expressed his gratefulness towards understanding customers who were responding well to his explanation.
“I’ve also learnt how to deal with problems when they arise. For example when I delivered the wrong item or the wrong size, I call up the customer and apologise while explaining to them my mistake,” Umar said.
The young boy is also thankful for the netizens who were supporting his small business. He started the business after watching his father’s friend explaining to his father the method on how to start an online business.
