Labangon Police Station arrest at least 14 individuals in Cebu City for violating the curfew policy under MECQ.
Labangon Police Station deputy chief Police Lieutenant Joel Dela Cerna reported that a total of 14 curfew violators have been arrested during the three-day recorrida or implementation of curfew hours.
Police Major Janelito Marquez of Labangon deployed at least 50 policemen and 50 force multipliers during the operation. 95 percent of the residents complied with the curfew policy but about five percent defied the quarantine measure.
“95 percent of the residents who are under the jurisdiction of station 10 complied with the curfew. Establishments and even the drivers went home before 10 p.m,” Dela Cerna said.
Dela Cerna said that the offenders spend the night at the gymnasium in Barangay Labangon. The cops also observed maximum tolerance during the operation. The violators will be released after rendering community service or paying fines.
Marquez also warned to report the establishments that will defy the warning to the Business Permit and Licensing Office at City Hall.
