Rayver Cruz gives life to the lead male character in ‘Nagbabagang Luha’

Kapuso actor Rayver Cruz admitted that he felt pressured in playing the leading man in the new series Nagbabagang Luha which was played by veteran actor Gabby Concepcion in a movie.

The said movie was released in the 80s and also featured Lorna Tolentino, Alice Dixson, and Richard Gomez. Rayver shared that he did not watch the movie because he wanted to have a raw attack on the role, based on the article in Bandera.

The actor also admitted that he felt the pressure but he is thankful for the help that he received from their directors.

“Malaking bagay po na nakatutok sina Direk Philip and Direk Ricky along the way kasi sila nga ‘yung nag-guide ng path. Pero ‘yung pressure na nararamdaman ko habang ginagawa ‘yung show, nandoon pa rin lalo na ngayon na mapapanood na ng tao,” Rayver Cruz said.

The actor also acknowledges the fact that they will be receiving negative comments, especially from those people who intend to compare their series to the movie. On the other hand, the actor said whatever negative comments won’t hinder them from being happy for the project that they did.

“Pero, at the same time, happy pa rin kami kasi alam namin, deep inside, na napakaganda ng project na ginawa namin and hindi na ako makapaghintay na mapanood po nila,” Rayver Cruz said.

Meanwhile, Glaiza De Castro, who plays the female lead in the series, shared in an interview that there is one intense scene that she had difficulty of breathing.
