Decena and Barrientos recovered four plastic sachets containing around 50 grams of illegal substances known as shabu, as well as a gray Toyota Wigo with plate number IAB 9931 and a transparent plastic sachet ziplock type containing shabu valued at P240,000.00, based on the report.

A police buyer transacted with Decena and his accomplice Barrientos in front of Jollibee, Blue Bay Walk, Brgy 76 Zone 10 Pasay City, near the corner of EDSA and Roxas Blvd, according to the police report. When police officers discovered P2,000.00 in marked buy-bust money and illegal drugs, they immediately arrested the suspects Decena and Barrientos.

Darren De Cena was linked to National Bilibid Prison (NBP) inmates Rafael Alberto and an alias Chen, who is supposedly a Chinese personality involved in large-scale drug distribution, during the police investigation.
