Baby Saved After Floating 1 Mile Off Tunisian Sea In Inflatable Ring
BABY SAVED AFTER FLOATING TO SEA – In just a quick second, tragedy could occur. Luckily, one tragedy was averted after a baby on an inflatable ring was rescued a mile off the Tunisian coast.
According to reports, the baby girl’s parents merely took their eye of her for a second and she was carried by the waves toward the sea. In the video, you could sea the baby being rescued by a person on a boat.
There was also another person in the water with the 1-year-old child clearly being distraught by the incident. Local media reported that the parents got distracted as she drifted toward the sea.
Afterward, it didn’t take long before the child was carried 1 mile from the coast. Luckily, the waves weren’t that strong and she managed to be unharmed. Based on an article from LadBible, the incident occurred off the coast of Kelibia at around 5:00 p.m. on a Saturday afternoon.
Meanwhile, the government told the radio news outlet regarding possible strong winds off Tunisia’s north east coast. Because of this, the parent’s momentary distraction caused the child to be swept away by the wind and current toward the ocean.
Following this, officials urged parents to watch their children carefully when swimming on the beach even with clear waters. Thankfully, the child was returned to her parents safely.
