Angel Locsin shares that she was planning just a two-year career in showbiz
A-list actress Angel Locsin said that she was planning to quit showbiz after two years of working and this was her reason.
Angel shared that she thinks that she became a household name due to her series Mulawin during the time when she was still in the Kapuso network. She is also popularly known for her Darna role in a series.
With all her achievements in the entertainment industry, her fans might not know that she already thought of quitting after two years of doing showbiz engagements.
Based on the article in Inquirer Entertainment, Angel Locsin said, “dapat two years lang ako sa showbiz. Mag-iipon lang ako, ipapa-opera ko yung tatay ko,”
Her father who was 80 years old back then, needed an operation for his eye condition but when she already had the money for that, the doctor told them the procedure could no longer be done because of his age.
What made Angel continue her career in showbiz was the challenge that she felt because of the “discrimination that she experienced.
“Na-challenge lang ako na okay, ipapakita ko na kaya ko. Tanggap lang ako nang tanggap ng trabaho,” the A-list actress shared. She also shared that she is thankful to veteran actress Amy Austria for helping find her passion in acting.
Angel Locsin revealed that she once had a voice-over act with the veteran actress and she was taught how to do the acting through voice. “Doon ko na na-discover yung passion ko rin. Na-curious ako kung paano ginagawa,” she shared.
