There are Kapamilya stars who want to be Kapuso, Johnny Manahan said
New GMA Artist Center consultant Johnny Manahan revealed that there are some Kapamilya stars who want to transfer also to GMA-7.
From being the head of Star Magic, the talent management company of ABS-CBN, Mr. M is now working with the rival network of his former home network.
As he is considered one of the pillars of the Philippine entertainment industry, he has helped a lot of stars who were once just dreaming to have a career in show business.
A lot of Star Magic talents consider him as their “tatay-tatayan” who guided them in the industry. When Johnny Manahan finally transferred to the Kapuso network, he revealed that some Kapamilya stars want to follow him also, based on the article in PEP.
However, the GMAAC consultant told those stars to just stay where they are now. “Sabi ko, ‘Diyan na lang muna kayo.’ Kasi, okay naman yung lakad nila roon. I was able to get a very nice contract for them doon. So, just wait until the contracts are finished and then you can make up your mind kung saan kayo talaga mananatili,” Mr. M revealed.
He said that the priority must be given to the Kapuso stars first rather than those who did “lipat bakod”. Johnny Manahan added that this will be one of the main goals of GMAAC, to prioritize their homegrown talents.
In a previous article, Mr. M shared that he felt alive again upon accepting the offer from GMA that he could not refuse because retiring has already crossed his mind but he is still craving to do his passion.
