Two People Caught On Video As They Fall Off Swing On Edge Of 6,000-Foot Cliff
VIRAL VIDEO – Two people chilling on a swing on the edge of a 6,000-foot cliff was captured on film as they suddenly fall off.
The swing can be located above the Sulak Canyon in Dagestan, Russia. Meanwhile, according to local reports, the fall came after a cable snapped. During that moment, tensions escalated after the two fell down.
Making things worse, the cliff was among the highest in the region with rocky terrain all around. But, with a stroke of luck, the two managed to land on a narrow decking platform underneath the cliff.
Rescuers quickly came to save the two and no more than cuts and bruises were suffered. However, police are now investigating the safety failings near the location where the canyon was over a mile deep.
According to reports, the two girls who fell off the cliff were terrified. Luckily, they only sustained minor injuries and scratches. “It is chilling to imagine what could have happened if they slipped when the swings were at a maximum height“, authorities said.
Following this, the Ministry of Tourism in Dagestan stated that the swing failed to meet safety standards. As a result, the young women fell from the swing. Due to the incident, the tourism office also said that “law enforcement agencies and other services are already conducting relevant checks to ensure that nothing threatens lives and health”.
